The 9 teams will be driving through the 9 provinces in Peugeots 208’s and 2008’s.  Not only will these vehicles be transporting the teams but also all the donations that are to be handed out to the Meals on Wheels Community Services beneficiaries along the way.

The peaks to be summited in the nine provinces are:

As the teams travel across South Africa, two Meals on Wheels Branches will each receive a brand new Peugeot Partner Panelvan.

MD Francisco Gaie, MD of Peugeot Citroën South Africa, will flag the teams off from Peugeot Citroën’s head office in Rivonia as they depart on their Challenge.

“This challenge is not for the faint hearted! says Francisco, but neither is fighting hunger in South Africa.  We are honoured to be associated with Meals on Wheels Community Services and the 9999 project, which will be making such a difference in so many people’s lives.”

Peugeot have been proud partners with Meals on Wheels Community Services for eight years and have provided over 200 vehicles to the organisation over that period of time.

“We hold Meals on Wheels and the work they do for the community in high regard and are happy that we can contribute in some small way towards improving the quality of lives of those less fortunate.” Francisco concluded.

This challenge provides the opportunity to see our amazing country whilst making a difference in the lives of various disadvantaged communities around South Africa.  Together we are, “Transforming lives through Charity in Motion.”
